We provide, at no cost to employees, Blue Shield/Blue Cross High Deductible medical health plans paired with an Interfaith Worker Justice funded Health Savings Account for all covered health care expenses for employees and their families who aren’t covered under other employer sponsored plans. Interfaith Worker Justice provides, at no cost to employees, a Dental plan through Lincoln Financial Group for employees and their families who aren’t covered under other employer sponsored plans. Short and Long Term Disability coverage is provided at no cost to employees.
We understand that your future is important to you. It is also important to us. Interfaith Worker Justice has a 401k plan available to staff, after 6 months of employment, which includes a 5 percent contribution from IWJ, along with an additional 2 percent match option. Socially responsible investment options are an integral part of the IWJ plan.
IWJ employees enjoy ten paid holidays, plus two additional Floating Religious Holidays per calendar year.
Vacation / Sick Leave
During First and Second year, employees accrue 15 days of paid vacation.
During Third and Fourth year, employees accrue 20 days of paid vacation.
During and after the Fifth year, employees accrue 25 days of paid vacation.
A maximum of 30 vacation days may be carried over from one calendar year to the next.
Interfaith Worker Justice employees accrue a maximum of 80 hours of sick time per calendar year. Employees can accrue a maximum of 240 hours of sick time.
After 12 months, a full time employee is entitled to 30 days of paid maternity leave or 15 days of paid paternity leave.
Flex Spending Account/Transit Benefit Program
Eligible employees can contribute up to $5,000 per year in pre-tax dollars to help pay for eligible health care expenses. Eligible employees can also contribute up to $5,000 per year in pre-tax dollars to help pay for eligible dependent day care expenses. IWJ also offers employees the opportunity to purchase CTA/RTA transit benefits using pre-tax earnings.
