Only some employees benefit from Netflix paid parental leave

Netflix has received a lot of praise this week for their new parental leave policy, which provides "unlimited" paid leave to parents with a newborn for up to a year. But it's not good news for every Netflix employee.

Workers in the company's DVD division will not be included in the new policy, receiving only one month of paid parental leave. NPR estimates that this discrepancy in Netflix's policy means that 400-500 workers will be left out.

Take a minute and call Netflix customer service at 1 (866) 579-7172 and ask them to extend "unlimited" leave to all employees. You can say something like this:

I'm calling to ask CEO Reed Hastings to give unlimited paid parental leave to all employees, including those who work in the DVD division and all other non-streaming employees who may not currently be covered by the new parental leave policy.
