Rev. Trina Zelle
Rev. Trina Zelle is the founder and Executive Director of the Arizona Interfaith Alliance for Worker Justice. Ordained in 1980 by the Presbyterian Church (USA), she has served congregations in Connecticut, Minnesota, Hawaii, Texas and Arizona. Her social justice work includes self-empowerment projects with marginalized women and the establishment of Cristo Rey Outreach, an organization that provided technical assistance to grassroots groups along the Texas/New Mexico/Mexico border. She is the recipient of the Tempe Human Relations Commission's 2008 MLK Diversity Awards. She graduated from the College of Wooster in Ohio, and received her Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. She has published poetry in the devotional These Days, as well as a number of reviews and anthologies, including Faith in Words: A Celebration of Presbyterian Writers (2004). She lives with her clergy spouse (Rev. Philip Reller, UCC) in Tempe. They have four grown children.
