Health and Safety Training Modules

IWJ is the largest non-industry specific network of worker centers in the U.S, serving low wage and immigrant workers from a variety of industries that often expose them to occupational injuries and illnesses. These industries include construction, farming, restaurant, cleaning services, landscaping, retail, poultry, meatpacking. To advance in the struggle for safer workplaces, and with funds from the OSHA Susan Harwood grant, IWJ has developed training materials in English and Spanish both for the instructor and the worker from the general industry and seven specific industries, and has made possible the translation of training materials for the poultry industry into Marshallese to benefit a large immigrant population working in that industry.
