Congressional Delegation to Hear of Injustices in Georgias Poultry Industry
Poultry Workers and Community to Appeal for Reforms
Altanta, GA On Monday, April 10th, the Georgia Poultry Justice Alliance (GPJA) will be hosting members of Congress and key state policymakers at a forum to hear first hand the stories of the human and environmental impact the poultry industry has had on Georgia.
WHO: Members of congress, keys state policy makers, poultry plant workers, poultry growers, poultry catchers, environmental advocates, and people of faith from across the country.

The Alliance is an offshoot of the successful Delmarva Poultry Justice Alliance which was featured on 60 Minutes in December. The Alliance seeks to create a sustainable model for the production of poultry in Georgia. As part of that model, the Alliance advocates for poultry regulations that protect the environment, good wages, benefits and a safe work environment for the industrys processing workers and catchers, and contracts that are fair to the small farmers who raise the chickens.
