Voces de la Frontera - Obama urged to halt deportations

Members of Voces de la Frontera said they will be outside of the President Barack Obama's Waukesha and Milwaukee events today, calling on him to end deportatons.

While Christine Neumann-Ortiz applauded the president's minimum wage hike in the state of the union speech, she said the immigrant advocacy's oragnization is calling on the president to use his legal executive authority to "provide real relief for America's immigrant famiiles, who are being torn apart at historic levels since he took office campaigning on federal immigration reform." She said Obama is on the verge of becoming "deporter-in-chief" presiding over what will soon be 2 million deportations--the most of any president.
