From the Prophetic reading for Shabbat Chanukah:

Zechariah 4::6

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the God of Hosts"

This Chanukah night together we pray:

Not by might, the might of armies, of militarized police
Not by power, the power of obscene amassed wealth, of the 1%

But by God's Spirit, our shared Spirit:

The Spirit of Compassion
The Spirit of Solidarity
The Spirit of Community
The Spirit of Sanctuary
The Spirit of Justice
