Labor-Religion Coalition - Groups Urge Lawmakers to Develop Moral Budget

A group of people gathered outside of government plaza to urge state lawmakers to develop what they call a moral budget. The Labor-Religion Coalition of Greater Binghamton and Citizen Action hosted the protest late Monday afternoon.

According to the protesters, many of the proposed tax cuts are aimed at large corporations and the wealthy while people who are in need are at risk of being neglected. Coalition member Fred Brooks encourages people to voice their concerns to their state representatives.
